Tammy took me on a trip across the country. Together we drove her car and belongings from Utah, the state of her college education, to Virginia, the state where her Big Brother and her Big Sister live and where she will live, find a job, friends, entertainment, and lots of museums. We made several fun stops along the way but mostly we were content for mile upon mile to gaze upon the never changing scenery.
I lied. Really, that was not all we had to look at. Oh, no. There were miles and miles of corn fields. And - I almost forgot - the miles and miles of trees. I really expected more variety. Where were the purple mountains majesty and the waves of amber grain and the friuted plains?? Does corn belong to the fruit family?

LOL! What a fun trip for mom and daughter to make together!:)
Dear Joyce, That was sweet of you to comment on my blog (particularly on such a long post -- though that makes me happy that anyone would read about my little ones). I have stopped by your blog several times just because you are Rhonda's mom and she so obviously adores you. I especially have always remembered how you mentioned that you and Veldon would always sit by each other rather than with kids between you at church because I love that idea. It fails for us many Sundays at this wild stage of children, but I keep trying because it just seems like how it should be! :)
As for this post, I am mostly jealous of the apple crisp I know you guys stopped and made in MN!
