It was so easy to make this peasant dress out of the body of the shirt. Using bias tape I made a casing in the neck for the elastic. Then put elastic in the hem of the sleeves. The original hem of the shirt becomes the hem of the dress.
I just took a peak over here from Rhonda's blog, and now I am pained that I have such crummy sewing skills. I don't know why exactly, but I think that little dress is the most darling thing I've ever seen. And it seems so sad to know that if I even had an ounce of sewing sense I could easily make something similar for my girls! Darn.

Is this made from a men's dress shirt?
